Sheldon Axler
22 Jun 2020Please do not post solutions of any more exercises from my book Measure, Integration & Real Analysis.
Active learning is much better than passive learning. Thus students probably will not learn much by reading these solutions, but they will learn a lot by working hard to find their own solutions.
Most of the exercises in the book request the reader to prove something. Usually there are several different correct proofs. Thus students cannot depend upon someone else’s solutions to tell them whether or not their solutions are correct.
Thank you.

7 Aug 2021I share your sentiment. I am very mature (61 years) distant learning student at University of South Africa studying BSc Hounours in Mathematics. As a retired engineer I am studying mathematics for fun. I found your book well writen and if I am not confident of the answer I have nowhere to turn to as it's not the precribed book. I wish there was a place where I can post my answers and get comments.
